Children’s Ministry

We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. So the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but keep his commands” (Psalm 78:4, 6-7). We desire to see the children at Church of the Apostles know the Lord and His love for them. One way we demonstrate His love is by encouraging everyone in the congregation to serve in Children’s Ministry. It is our greatest multigenerational opportunity at church. Together, the young and “the older” read Bible stories, learn how to pray, worship through song, and enjoy the fellowship. It is an engaging and memorable time for everyone who participates! Children learn that God loves them with a “wonderful, never stopping, never giving up, unbreaking, always, and forever love” (Sally Lloyd-Jones).

2. Kids’ Time (PreK through Third Grade)

a. Kids’ Time 1 – PreK – First Grade b. Kids’ Time 2 – Second and Third Grade Children in the Kids’ Time age groups participate in the beginning of the worship service with their families. At the end of the opening songs of praise, the children are invited to go to Kids’ Time. The Kids’ Time leaders and the children exit the side door and walk to the Education Building together. Leaders share lessons that are developmentally appropriate and engaging for their children’s age groups. The children return to the church before communion begins. We love children at Church of the Apostles and are excited that God calls us to train children how to be Jesus’ disciples.
