After working eight years in marketing and consulting and meeting the love of his life, Langley, the couple moved to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to help start Young Life, an outreach ministry to high school students.  In 2009, Langley and David moved Boston for David to pursue his Master of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. David has served in church leadership and pastoral ministry at Church of the Cross in Boston and at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Raleigh. In July 2017, David accepted a call to become the senior pastor of Church of the Apostles. David and Langley and their three children, Mary Camden, David Jr and Bennett live in Woodland Heights.

Rebekah Maddux El-Hakam
Worship Pastor

I began leading worship over twelve years ago after moving back to Houston. I have been blessed to have several of my original worship songs published and recorded. In 2012, we released an 11 song debut album entitled Radiant You. And most recently, my original Christmas Song, Noel, I Know Jesus (which I co-wrote with my husband, Moustapha) was featured on the CCM Magazine Christmas Compilation Album. Moustapha and I have four children ages 12, 10, 8 and 7. They are so much fun and keep us busy all of the time! I am overjoyed to serve the Lord as Worship Pastor at Apostles. We have felt so graciously welcomed in to this community. God is so good!
